So, I'm trying to decide if I want this and I keep vacillating back and forth... for those of you with Sam's lawn party outfit, what do you think? Is it nicer in person than in the pictures? Help!

In person they have it set up with all it asscessories. It come with the dress, socks, the crocket stick, the ball, the hat, and trading cards. I think it is a great buy and you will love it. I would have to say that this outfit was really disapointing to me when i saw it at Jecca's. It is pretty but it was tight and didn't fit well on my white-bodied Sam. She was very disapointed because she wanted it but I don't think I'll be getting it and also I'm not sure if the shoes will fit her feet and she would have to have the shoes too!

I really like it too. I think it is simply charming. I like the dateail in the fabric and I LOVE the hat. No victorian girl would be without one out in the sun! LOL. The shoes are adorable. I would tell you to get those too. I just love the little heal on them.
I think to many of us over anylized the outfit before it came and then even after thinking it was not "right". To many times because we over anylize them I think we sound like we won't buy them. Then we wait to long to add them to our collections. I think it is a wonderful dress for Samantha and one you won't want to miss out on. It is a different style and quite lovely. I say go for it!
Edited to add: I also have a white bodied Samamntha. It does fit a little snug but after she wore it while it seemed to be OK. Mine does fit into the shoes so I would say, "Give it a try, Robin." I also thought Samantha might have a hard time fitting into them but they seemed to work out just fine.......now we know they not only have big hips and bums but also fatter feet?!?!?!LOL

In a book on childrens fashions there is a dress and hat similar to the lawn party dress.I do think that it would have been more realistic for her to have worn a wide brimmed hat .
